Yes, the title sounds like a mis-quote at an abortion clinic but (hey no, ed) seriously, what is the point in wearing flip-flops/thongs on the beach..? Listen to me, the sand won't hurt your feet. We promise. Don't wear shoes on Mission Beach - I will be sending telepathic vibes to my dog to poo where you're walking.
